Not a load of rubbish

Another first - the UK's first refuse truck to operate on pure plant oil. Poole Borough Council is the proud owners and operators of a 6-litre EURO3 Dennis Eagle that Regenatec converted to run on RG179 Biofuel.

The Council is actively seeking ways of minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. They realised that operating a high-consumption diesel vehicle from a renewable energy source would reduce the environmental impact of their existing vehicle stock in a practical and cost-effective way.
